Elizabeth Esguerra Castillo is a Professional Feature Writer/Creative Writer/Journalist/Blogger/Published International Poet and Author/Online English Instructor for Koreans. She is the eldest child of the late Roberto N. Castillo and Elisa E. Castillo, who both hail from the province of Pangasinan, Philippines, a province where a lot of creative and talented Filipino artists and writers come from. A graduate of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Major in Management at the Philippine School of Business Administration in Quezon City, Philippines and another course in Computer Programming and Operations at the Systems Technology Institute in Makati City, Philippines, this once unassuming lass’s dream was really to become a writer which she later on fulfilled because of hard work and determination.
Her first international poetry book “Seasons of Emotions” by Destiny to Write Publications, UK was released last January 7th 2013.She has garnered various international recognitions and awards some of which are: Second Place for “Author of the Year” at Destiny to Write Publications Poetry Awards 2013, UK and her book as Second Place also for “Book of the Year” as well as “Best New Comer” at the same awards. Her latest international awards include emerging as the Overall Winner of the “Winning Strategies Magazine International Awards” (WISMIWA), USA recognizing her positive influence to her community as well as to people around the world through her works and another glass trophy award as an “Inspirational Poet” given by the PENTASI B Historical Forum/World Poetry Celebration held at the National Museum of the Philippines, November 15, 2013. She was also one of the 2013 Poet Awardees of Destiny Poets’ International Community of Poets (ICOP), UK’s “Highly Commended Poet” for the “Faith-Centered Poet” category. Her poem “Time Travels” is one of the “Highly Commended Poems” last January, 2014 and another poem entitled “A New Life” also was one of the “Highly Commended Poems” last March, 2014 both at Destiny Poets, UK.
Her second book “Inner Reflections of the Muse” was released April 1, 2014, a collection of Elizabeth’s articles on life and love, her poetry which includes international poetry collaborations with fellow poets from across the globe and her own composed quotes. Elizabeth is currently working on upcoming international anthologies and is also one of the speakers of an international writers’ conference in Lagos, Nigeria this August, 2014.
